Clean Energy in Hebron

The first awareness workshop will take place in Hebron city four months after the start of the project. Municipalities (~25 in total), Southern Electric Power Company, Rural areas directors, various NGOs and energy-relevant stakeholders will be invited to participate in this workshop. The Renewable Energy centre at Palestine Polytechnic University (in Hebron) will be the main player in this workshop. Al-Ahli Hospital’s vision of a green energy future will be the theme for this workshop. This will encourage participants to start dreaming of how future projects can improve their green/black energy mix.

The Heat of the Sun Energy in Jericho

will take place near Jordan Valley 10 months after the start of the project. The theme for this workshop will be Renewable Energy using Solar Systems. This is in line with Jericho being one of the richest solar cities in the region. A solar energy expert will be invited to lead this workshop.

North of Palestine must go Green

awareness-raising workshop in cooperation with the renewable energy research centre at al NAJAH National University (North of Palestine). One of the invited speakers will be a participant from an EU country: our EU Partner will identify and recommend a person for this mission. Replicating lessons learnt and successful activities from the Al-Ahli experience to the north of Palestine will be the main theme for this workshop. This workshop will take place 18 months after the project start.

Visit the Rotating Eagles

A success story exhibition or workshop will be held in Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron city to demonstrate the results and issues related to this action. This small workshop will be held three months before the project end. Three days of exhibitions will be held to accept visitors from different sites. Demonstrations and explanations will be provided by ten selected and pre-trained university students. Preference will be given to female students to demonstrate that women have a role in the green energy future.

Palestine National Clean Energy Dissemination

will be held in Ramallah city. Senior delegations from different parties and organizations including senior PNA members will be invited to participate in this workshop. Through the demonstration of a running installation, any negative prejudices held by social actors and stakeholders can be challenged and hopefully re-evaluated. The aim will be to coincide this workshop with the final project meeting so that our EU partner can be invited and so minimise the travel costs.
